-In scene 6, Alika’s mom tells Alika about the ‘ili’ili. What is it? Describe the metaphor.
-Alika, the building inspector (p. 29), and the security guard (p. 39) are all able to code-switch. What does their code-switching say about them as individuals? How have they adapted to their environments? How do you code-switch in your life?
